Dans le cadre du projet "Percolaris" pour la galerie Arondit, Lia Giraud (artiste) propose une carte blanche à Ludovic Duhem autour de la "techno-esthétique". Après une conférence traditionnelle sur la techno-esthétique, une conférence/performance intitulée Ars vitae ou comment apprendre à vivre avec l'altération technologique est proposée avec la complicité du compositeur et artiste sonore belge Raphaël Vens.

 

Intégralement improvisée, dans son texte comme dans sa composition sonore, cette conférence/performance tente une incursion dans la redoutable question de la relation entre vie et technique en rencontrant une série de personnages comme Platon, Nietzsche, Bergson, Canguilhem, Leroi-Gourhan, Simondon... laissant s'esquisser une genèse du sens, des idées émergentes, une prise de position aussi quant à l'impossible arrachement de la technique à la vie et à l'artificialisation envahissante de nos existences : intensifier la vie en incorporant la technique autrement. Aucune leçon mais des phrases laissées, déposées, tenues souvent, usées et imprécises parfois. La musique propose, anticipe, retarde, recouvre, montre aussi une autre forme de vie, une autre signification de la vie qui va, peuplée de d'intensités variables et de dialogues amorcés.

As part of the "Percolaris" project for the Arondit Gallery, Lia Giraud (artist) has given Ludovic Duhem free rein to explore the theme of "techno-aesthetics." Following a traditional lecture on techno-aesthetics, a lecture/performance entitled Ars vitae, or how to learn to live with technological alteration, will be presented in collaboration with Belgian composer and sound artist Raphaël Vens.

 

Entirely improvised, both in its text and its sound composition, this lecture/performance attempts to delve into the formidable question of the relationship between life and technology by encountering a series of figures such as Plato, Nietzsche, Bergson, Canguilhem, Leroi-Gourhan, and Simondon, allowing a genesis of meaning to emerge, ideas to take shape, and a stance also taken regarding the impossibility of separating technology from life and the pervasive artificiality of our existence: intensifying life by incorporating technology differently. There are no lessons, but rather phrases left behind, deposited, often held, worn and imprecise at times. The music proposes, anticipates, delays, covers over, and also reveals another form of life, another meaning of life unfolding, populated by varying intensities and initiated dialogues.
